CELEBRATING A 50-YEAR-OLD SINGLE MALT WITH A VERY SPECIAL SAMPLE

Not only does the kit echo the packaging and branding of the whisky itself, it surprises the recipient and gives them everything they need to celebrate the momentous release of The Balvenie Fifty.”
The Balvenie is a well-respected brand of single malt Scotch and The Balvenie Fifty is a very special whisky. Croglin was asked to design and create a press kit and HNWI gift that would promote The Balvenie Fifty and create a suitably special buzz.
Croglin took as its starting point the walnut layered box being used to package and protect the full-sized bottles of The Balvenie Fifty, as well as the labelling and design of the bottle.
The proposed design incorporated a wee Glancairn whisky glass, a sample vial of whisky with a timber stopper and a coaster etched with tasting notes, all presented in a lidded walnut box.
The whole design worked on a staged reveal that would create excitement and offer several visuals and opportunities for social media sharing. It also showed how Croglin’s practical approach to packaging – keeping those three elements safe and secure - could be combined with luxury materials, beautiful design and a quality product.

From brief through design approval and prototyping to batch production and delivery took less than 6 weeks.
